Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined the intense response that we received to our recent post regarding the "oops" error message on Keurig 2.0. This has become our all time most popular article eliciting fervent comments and emails. Fortunately, we have been able to successful help most of those who have reached out to us with information regarding this somewhat confusing situation.

All of this led me to the thought- we have come to a time that our daily coffee requires the assistance of an expert in the industry.

Although the act of brewing a cup of coffee has become extremely simplified, the technology that allows that to happen has gone in the complete opposite direction. The release of Keurig 2.0 has added to the complexity...and that is okay as long as you are informed and know who to turn to for help.

Many Keurig users choose to treat their K-cup coffee as a grocery item picking them up at local retailers. While I completely understand the convenience, this has been the #1 problem causing confusion with 2.0 users. Big box stores simply don't have the knowledge to offer advice on which K-cups work with what brewer, which are sanctioned and what brands are renegades (will not brew with Keurig 2.0 and affect the warranty on classic Keurig). Can you blame them though? They have thousands of items to worry about, they can not be expected to know the intimate details of each.

In order to guarantee that you are receiving K-cups that will work in your Keurig 2.0 brewer or will not affect the warranty of your classic Keurig - you must buy from an approved distributor or directly from Keurig. These two sources live and breath Keurig K-cups day in and day out, eliminating the chance of errors occurring due to lack of knowledge and therefore any hassle for you.

How do you know if you are ordering from an approved distributor?

All approved Keurig distributors are required to post a message on the homepage of their website outlining who they can sell to and where. Look for that disclaimer (usually in the footer area) and you are good to go or you can simply ask them.

I know what you are thinking- this will increase the cost of my K-cup coffee.

Nope. Generally, Keurig is a bit higher because they don't want to out do their distributors. The second highest cost source of K-cups is...retail. Shocked? Now I know there are exceptions such as wholesale clubs but, in general Keurig authorized distributors buy in such large quantities that they are able to offer you not only the largest selection but, the lowest price... top that off with an incredible wealth of knowledge and it is a no brainer.

Keurig distributors are now carrying a full inventory of Keurig 2.0 K-cups for you to choose from. Most have classified the products as such making the process even easier for you.

In conclusion, wherever you have purchased your Keurig K-cups...Keurig and their distributors are here to help navigate this confusing situation. Don't feel like you are stuck with K-cups that you can not use or reach the point of frustration because you can't figure out how to operate your machine.
