Do you have leadership experience? Teamwork: This seems like a no-brainer, but the ability to follow as well as lead is an important attribute of any leader. Chances are you’ve worked as a part of a team on many occasions. Commitment: This leadership quality can be demonstrated in two ways. To show off your leadership experience, first you can list projects you shepherded from inception to completion. Second, you can show commitment through a job history that has steady, long-term employment.

Organization: Again, this skill can be shown both in your actual experience and in the way you present your resume. A tidy, logical, and well-organized resume that’s easy to scan is a necessity.

Creativity: Don’t put clip art or zany fonts on your resume; not many hiring managers respect Comic Sans. Instead, show your creativity through examples of innovative problem solving. If appropriate, you might also include examples of your creative hobbies, such as painting or music, but only if you’ve run out of relevant work history.

Leaders have also been proven to have good grammar. In a recent study, Grammarly learned that professionals with fewer grammar errors achieve higher positions. Additionally, fewer grammar errors correlate with more promotions because good grammar represents a high attention to detail, excellent critical thinking skills, and an impressive intellectual aptitude.
