I can easily substitute regular milk with lactose-free milk. However, I am having difficulties finding a substitute for the heavy cream, as I have not found lactose-free heavy cream.

I have read online that 1 cup heavy cream = 3/4 cup milk and 1/4 cup melted butter. I know this works in savory dishes, but am curious if you guys think it could work in ice cream?

If not, do you have any other substitutes for heavy cream that would either be lactose-free or relatively low in lactose? I do not want the flavor of coconut in my ice cream, so am steering away from coconut milk.
